Holding your gathering at the garden

Here you’ll find details of hiring our beautiful gardens for your workshop, event, retreat or training.

Event spaces

Details about our spaces for holding events, workshops, trainings or gatherings.

  • The garden room is a bespoke-built cabin with a log burner and large windows.

    It’s a space for gathering, eating, relaxing and holding events. There is room to seat 20-40 around the table for dinners or feast nights.

    There is a bathroom with two toilets and two showers.

    Kitchen

    There is a commercial kitchen attached to this room with:

    • Large commercial fridge

    • Gas stove and oven

    • Sink

    • Storage and shelving

    • Commercial under-counter dishwasher

  • Big Barn is a wonderful space to hire for more intimate events ceremonies or workshop. You can find more information about Big Barn and booking here.

Gardens

Details about our grounds. We are a working apothecary garden so our gardeners, creators and caretakers will be working in the gardens carefully and consciously during the week.

  • Our sacred stone circle is a place for gathering, connecting and holding ceremonies. Four main stones mark each direction and element, held by the north stone sat with our beautiful horsechesnut tree, the symbol of hope.

    Within the stones are apothecary garden beds being used to grow medicinal, healing and herbal elements that are turned into our hydrolats and medicinal waters.

  • Our traditional somerset apple orchard is a place for meditating, gathering and practicing amongst the quiet and calm energy of the trees.

  • Our gardens are a coming together of rows of damask rose bushes, wildflower meadows and apothecary garden beds and around 150 young and mature trees.

  • Our polytunnel and apothecary stil room is a fragrant space full of medicinal plants. A beautiful space for a candlelit evening gathering, relaxing in the warmth or meditating.

Accommodation

Details about our rooms, cabins, facilities and occupancy. Max occupancy will depend on room and bed sharing.

  • A 17th-century barn conversation with a large fully equipped kitchen, large lounge and two rooms sleeping up to 5

    Upstairs shared room - one larger double bed which sleeps 2 and one smaller double nestled under the barn's eaves which sleeps 1. En-suite with bath.

    Downstairs room - double bed sleeping 2 with an en-suite with a shower.

  • A bespoke built cabin with a double bed, log burner, bathroom with shower, sofa and dining area and a fully equipped kitchen.

    A double bed sleeping 2 and optional sofa bed which sleeps 1.

  • A bespoke built cabin that’s wheelchair accessible with a double bed, sofa and kitchenette.

    A double bed sleeping 2 and optional sofa bed which sleeps 1.

  • In the summer (Jun - Sept) we put up two round tents which have 2 single beds each which is included are full retreat bookings.

    Access to the shared shower room, toilet and kitchenette in the garden lounge.

Pricing

  • £180 Full Day (8am - 10pm)

    + £30 for use of Commercial Kitchen

  • Whole Retreat Centre - all cabins, barns, gardens and our Garden Room (+ round tent between May - September) per night:

    £1200 May - September
    £975 October - April

    + £120 cleaning & service charge for stays under 2 nights for the whole retreat centre.

    Check in from 4pm and check out by 11am.

  • We recommend you join us for an event to get the full experience and soak in the ambience of the garden. If this isn’t possible we can also arrange viewings of the space outside of when we have bookings, so these viewings aren’t guaranteed. We’ll be holding open days for practitioners in the New Year. Please drop a message to hello@apothecarygarden.com to find out more.

  • We have a modern professional kitchen space which is used by external chefs to provide food. We have many chefs we work with regularly and can help you source the right one for your needs. Equally we also welcome chefs that you yourselves have arranged.
